​Family Owned Since 1950

​​​Yankocy Wholesale Building Materials has been supplying high quality products to mason yards, lumber yards and local contractors for 75 years. 

Opened in 1950, our three generational family-owned business was established by Ferdinand Yankocy in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport was an ideal location due to its proximity to the railroad tracks. As the business grew and our trucking system expanded, Yankocy moved to its current location in Monroe, CT.

Ferdinand passed the business to his son Frederick J. Yankocy in 1972. Frederick bravely served in the United States Army during World War ll as a Staff Sargent in Japan. After completion of his service, Frederick went to college and graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Upon graduation from college Frederick joined his father in the family business, where he worked full time until the age of 94.

His son Fred S. Yankocy began learning the business as a teenager and officially joined the company in 1986 after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Sacred Heart University. At Yankocy, we are dealer focused and committed to delivering exceptional service to each and every one of our customers. We answer our own phones and reply to emails as quickly as possible. Our customers are treated like family and their satisfaction is our number one priority.
