Questions about poly sheeting & jobsite
What poly sheeting sizes does Yankocy stock?
Clear poly sheeting in 2 mil (12' x 200'), 4 mil (8' to 40' wide x 100'), 6 mil (4' to 40' wide x 100'), and 8 and 10 mil (20' x 100'), plus reinforced 6 mil in 20' and 40' x 100'. Yankocy sells poly wholesale to yards. Call (203) 261-4955 or email info@yankocy.com.
Should a job use 4 mil or 6 mil poly?
Use 6 mil where the sheet has to resist punctures and stay intact, such as vapor barrier under slabs or in crawl spaces; check the plans for the specified thickness. 4 mil suits lighter work like covering materials and temporary dust protection. Reinforced 6 mil, 8 mil and 10 mil are stocked for heavier cover jobs.
What other jobsite covers and wrap are available?
3 mil contractor bags (33" x 50"), clear pallet covers, stretch wrap in 5" x 1000' and 15" x 1500' rolls, and blue poly tarps from 6' x 8' up to 40' x 60'. These ship on the same Yankocy trucks as poly sheeting and other jobsite supplies, delivered weekdays from Monroe, CT.
